Early, In-person Voting Available to Farmington Hills Voters Ahead of Nov. 5 General Election beginning Oct. 26

Registered voters in Farmington Hills can cast their vote early, in person at the
Costick Activities Center Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3

The City of Farmington Hills is preparing for in-person, early voting ahead of the Nov. 5 General Election, which runs Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3.

In November 2022, Michigan voters approved a constitutional amendment that grants them the right to vote early and in person at designated early voting sites before statewide and federal elections. The City of Farmington Hills first implemented early voting in November 2023.

"Early voting has been a tremendous success in the City of Farmington Hills, with more voters embracing this convenient option with each election," said Farmington Hills City Clerk Carly Lindahl. "Given the statewide implementation of early voting, and the significance of the upcoming General Election, the City anticipates an increased turnout during the early voting period."

Registered voters will be able to vote early at two locations:

·         Regional Early Voting Site #5 at the Costick Activities Center, located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills, or

·         Oakland County Central Early Voting Site #19 at the Waterford Oaks Activity Center, located at 2800 Watkins Lake Road in Waterford.

Early voting is available to registered Farmington Hills voters for nine days prior to the election, starting two Saturdays before Election Day and ending the Sunday before Election Day. Early voting dates for the upcoming General Election are Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. Sites will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day except Thursday, Oct. 31, when the sites will be open 12 to 8 p.m. Both voting sites will have the same hours of operation. Registered voters from the City of Farmington can also vote early at the Costick Activities Center.

Early voting is available in Michigan for all state and federal elections, allowing voters to cast a ballot before Election Day in an experience similar to voting on Election Day. During the early voting period, in-person voters are issued a ballot and can insert their ballot directly into a tabulator at their early voting site. Community members using absent voter ballots may also take their completed ballots to an early voting location to feed their ballot through a tabulator themselves.
