You can access and print your digital documents directly through the City of Farmington Hills BS&A Portal. Since Farmington Hills transitioned entirely to online submissions and electronic document handling via BS&A, your stamped plans must be downloaded from this specific interface.
Steps to Download and Print
- Access the Portal: Open the City of Farmington Hills BS&A Portal.
- Log In: Click "Log In" in the top right corner. Use your contractor or homeowner account.
- Locate Your Record: Search for your active building permit under the Building Department section using your permit number or property address. []
- Download Plans: Look for the Documents/Attachments tab within your permit details. Download the PDF files containing the official city approval stamps.
- Print to Scale: Open the file using dedicated PDF software (like Adobe Acrobat). Contractors are required to keep full-sized, legible prints on the job site. When printing large blueprint sizes (such as 24"x36"):
- Set your page handling options to "Actual Size" or "Scale: 100%".
- Do not select "Fit to Page," as this distorts the structural dimensions and scale rulers required by field inspectors.
