Farmington Hills City Council Amends Summer Meeting Schedule
Farmington Hills City Council is announcing it will move to a summer meeting schedule beginning this July. This summer, Farmington Hills City Council will meet one day per month on July 8 and Aug. 12 with a study session preceding the regular 7:30 p.m. City Council meeting.
This change follows a vote by the Farmington Hills City Council at its meeting on Monday, June 24, 2024, to update the body’s Rules of the City Council and Guidelines of Conduct. The amended document will allow for more efficient meetings in the summer, when there is typically a decrease in new City business, and for greater flexibility to cancel meetings during adverse weather or around holidays. In the future, Council meetings in June, July and August will follow this amended guideline.
All City Council meetings are held at Farmington Hills City Hall, located at 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road. Those unable to attend in person may watch the meeting live on the City’s YouTube. Agendas for City Council meetings can be found on the City’s website the Friday prior to the meeting. Community members may also sign up for the City’s eNews to receive the agenda via email by selecting the City Council Meeting Agendas list.
