Additional Charges Added for Suspect who Shot at Farmington Hills Police Officers in September during Barricaded Incident

Dejuan Evans now faces 18 felonies and one misdemeanor in connection with the incident,
as the Farmington Hills Police Department continues its investigation
The suspect charged in connection with the barricaded gunman incident that happened on Sept. 15 in Farmington Hills will face six additional felony charges. 32-year-old Dejuan Patrick Evans now faces a total of 18 felonies and one misdemeanor in connection with the incident.
Following Evans’s initial arraignment on Oct. 3, the Farmington Hills Police Department continued its investigation into this incident and presented additional information to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. This information led to authorization of an additional six count felony warrant against Evans for attempting to murder Farmington Hills Police Officers during the original incident. The additional charges include three (3) counts of Assault with Intent to Murder and three (3) counts of Felony Firearm.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office originally charged Evans with 13 counts, including three (3) counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two (2) counts of Felonious Assault, six (6) counts of Felony Firearm, one (1) count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and one (1) misdemeanor count of Domestic Violence. At his first arraignment before Magistrate Friedrich of the 47th District Court, a Not Guilty plea was entered on Evans’s behalf and bond was set at $3 million cash or surety. Evans was remanded to the Oakland County Jail.
Evans will be arraigned on the additional charges during a Probable Cause Conference scheduled for Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m.
