City of Farmington Hills “Bagels & Business” Event to Connect Business Owners and Entrepreneurs with Resources
WHAT : The City of Farmington Hills is hosting Bagels & Business: Guidance to Grow, a free networking and informational event designed to support entrepreneurs, small and medium business owners, and community members interested in starting or expanding a business. Attendees will enjoy breakfast and hear from experts covering various topics, including results of recent market studies highlighting trends and opportunities for growth, vendor opportunities, tax requirements, available business credits and more.
Following the presentations, resource booths will be available for one-on-one conversations with representatives from local, state and federal agencies.
WHO: Entrepreneurs, start-up founders, small, medium and large business owners are invited to network and hear from:
· Steve Annear, CEO of the Kirk Gibson Foundation, sharing how he helped establish a first-of-its-kind Parkinson’s center in Farmington Hills and why demographics are vital in location search,
· Cristia Brockway, economic development director for the City of Farmington Hills, presenting key insights from the latest market studies and what they mean for different industries,
· Brandon Adolph from the U.S. Small Business Administration, providing resource assistance,
· Michelle Aranowski, director of Central Services for the City of Farmington Hills, providing a walkthrough on how to become a City vendor, and
· Sarah Robinson Rusnell from the Michigan Department of Treasury, offering guidance on taxes, credits and start-up basics.
