City of Farmington Hills to Honor Local Veterans at Luncheon, Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 11
The City of Farmington Hills Special Services Adults 50 & Better Division will host its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Costick Activities Center, located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills. The long‑standing tradition brings the community together to honor veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.
“Each year, we are proud to recognize the courage, resilience, and dedication of the veterans in our community,” said Marsha Koet, senior division supervisor for the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department. “The Veterans Day Celebration not only honors their service but also provides an opportunity for them to share their stories and connect with one another.”
The celebration will include an honor guard ceremony, a recitation of veterans’ names, and a special luncheon. Veterans who reside in Farmington Hills or Farmington may attend at no charge; however, registration is required by November 3 at the Costick Center front desk or by calling 248‑473‑1830. Non‑veterans are welcome to attend and may register online at recreg.fhgov.com or in person at the Costick Center. No walk-ins will be accepted, and space is limited.
The luncheon is generously sponsored for the 30th consecutive year by American House of Farmington Hills, which provides a range of personalized services to support residents’ independence and quality of life.
