The Farmington Hills Police Department is once again partnering with Faith & Blue for National Faith & Blue Weekend, Oct. 9-12. 

On Saturday, Oct. 10 from 12 to 3 p.m., Farmington Hills Police Chief John Piggott and other Police Department members, along with Faith & Blue, will host a Trunk-Or-Treat event for the local houses of worship, and businesses within the community. The family-fun event will be held rain or shine at the Costick Activities Center, located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road. It is free to everyone in the community and The Burger Spot food truck will be on-site with food available for purchase.

“The Farmington Hills Police Department is committed to serving our community and its citizens,” said Chief John Piggott. “We have established an amazing relationship with our citizens and our faith-based community and are committed to strengthening that collaboration. This Faith & Blue event is one more example of our commitment to our community."

The Farmington Hills Police Department participates in the Faith & Blue program through its ongoing association with the Farmington Area Interfaith Association. The mission of Faith & Blue is to effectively unify communities by connecting law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through faith-based organizations. The organization strives to strengthen the community and promote harmony by harnessing the power of our faith communities with civic duty. The Faith & Blue program continues to be an important part of community policing efforts. 

Residents are also invited to visit the Police Department Saturday Oct. 3 from 12 to 3 p.m. for the Citywide Open House. The event will feature drone and K9 demonstrations, police car rides with lights and sirens, and station tours. A free hot dog lunch and Kona Ice will be provided, while supplies last. Other city departments will also host activities for the whole family.
